The Publish interface is located on the Utility Bar under the System Administration COG icon ().
Function
The Publish interface allows the user to create a "snapshot" of the latest approved STIP revision so it can be made available in STIP Viewer. This ensures that only approved modifications to the STIP are available on the public facing STIP Viewer application. System Administration permissions are required to view and edit this interface.
Elements
There are three elements that make up the Publish interface: the STIP Dropdown, Publication History Table, and Publish button.
STIP Dropdown
The STIP Dropdown appears first on the interface, directly above the Publication History Table. This control can be used to select the desired STIP version, including any historical STIPs that may exist. Then, the Table results will reflect the selected STIP.
Publication History Table
The Publication History Table lists all current and previous approved STIP revisions, ordered by Revision number latest to earliest. Each record will include the Revision, the user who published, and the date the revision was published. If a record does not have a Published By value or Published Date, this indicates that the record is an unpublished approved revision. The user can publish this record by selecting its table row and clicking the "Publish" button.
Publish Button
The Publish button will only be available if the user has selected an active STIP that has unpublished revisions. If the user selects a historical STIP or an Active STIP that has no new revisions, the Publish button will be disabled. If the Publish button is available, the user can select one or multiple revisions in the table to publish. Then, they can click the "Publish" button which will make all of the STIP information, including projects and funding, for the revision available in the STIP Viewer. This process will also fill the Published By and Published Date for the revisions in the Publish interface.
