The Details tab on the Needs interface has a Location Information section.
Function
The Location Information section of the Detail Tab is used to store and display the location records for the selected Need. The "Place Name" field which was once located in the General section of the Needs tab will now appear on this section.
Controls
There are some controls offered in the Location Information section which help the user work with the location record on the Location table. These controls are not available for needs with a Workflow Status of Programmed and Complete.

Using Controls
To delete a location record, the user must first select the checkbox for the desired record's row. Then, the user can click "Save" to remove the record. More than one record can be deleted at the same time.
To edit a location record, the user must first select the editing icon (). Then, the Location Information pop-up used for editing will appear.
To map the location records, the user must click the "Map Project" link. Then, the user can view the project on the Map Frame. If the mapped entry is clicked, a map pop-up will appear, detailing the Need ID, Project Title, Funding Years, and Cost of the location record. The Project Detail Report can also be opened on this map pop-up. If the user wishes to open the Needs interface once more, they can click its name in the lower right corner of the Map Frame.
Location Columns
The Location Table has twenty columns. These columns are described in the table.

| Delete Checkbox | This column hosts the delete checkbox which allows users to remove location records. |
| Edit | This column hosts the pencil icon which allows users to edit location records. |
| Location Type | This column hosts the Location Type (Route Segment, Bridge Point, Intersection Point, Traffic Point, Non-GIS: New Polygon, Non-GIS: Other) for the location record. |
| Location Name | This column hosts the Name of the route segment, bridge, intersection, or traffic station; for Non-GIS records, this column hosts the Temporary Name. |
| Route ID | This column hosts the Route ID for the GIS location record; this field is blank for all Non-GIS records. |
| BMP | This column hosts the Begin Milepoint for the GIS location record. All interfaces and reports will truncate this value to the 4th decimal place; however, the full value will be retained in the database. For points, the BMP and EMP will be the same value. This field is blank for all Non-GIS records. |
| EMP | This column hosts the End Milepoint for the GIS location record. All interfaces and reports will truncate this value to the 4th decimal place; however, the full value will be retained in the database. For points, the BMP and EMP will be the same value. This field is blank for all Non-GIS records. |
| County | This column hosts the County for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| City | This column hosts the City name if the location is within a City boundary; otherwise, this field will be empty. Multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| Borough | This column hosts the Borough name if the location is within a Borough boundary; otherwise, this field will be empty. Multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| Functional Class | This column hosts the Functional Class for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| NHS | This column hosts the NHS designation for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| AHS | This column hosts the AHS designation for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| MPO | This column hosts the MPO if the location is within an MPO boundary; otherwise, this field will display "Non-MPO." |
| House District | This column hosts the House District for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| Urban Area | This column hosts the type of Urban area for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| Structure # | This column hosts the Bridge ID (for bridge types) or the value entered when the location was created (for Non-GIS types); otherwise, this field will be empty. |
| Bridge Performance | This column hosts the associated Bridge Performance value if the Structure # column contains a Bridge ID; otherwise, this field will be empty. |
| Management Responsibility | This column hosts the Management Responsibility for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
| National Network | This column hosts the National Network for the location record; multiple values will display as "Multiple." |
Add Location
The user can also add a location to the Location Information section by clicking on the "Add New" link. Click here to learn more about that process.
