The STIP Manager displays 3 functional areas upon first entry into the application: (1) Interfaces and Control Ribbon (2) Legend, and (3) Map Frame. Each of these are shown in the image below, with corresponding numbers to the list above.
(1) Interfaces and Control Ribbon
The application has 5 interface titles listed: Map, Needs, Projects, Actions, and Reports. The Map interface will already be on display upon first entering the application. Its control icons are listed in a ribbon format below the interface titles. The Needs, Projects, and Actions interface titles each lead to a singular pop-up interface. These interfaces are divided into tabs that display pertinent information and controls for the given screen. The Reports interface title shows a list of two report types (Advanced and Standard) when clicked. These two options lead to their own interfaces.
(2) Legend
The Legend displays a list of available map layers that can be turned on/off by clicking the appropriate checkbox. The legend menu is displayed upon opening the application, but it can be hidden/re-opened by clicking the arrow control (caret) to its immediate right.
(3) Map Frame
The Map Frame is used to display STIP information visually. A variety of controls for the Map Frame permit the user to zoom to an area of interest if desired.
