The legend is located on the left side of the application beside the map.

Function

The legend allows additional layering to be placed on top of the map display. The options in the legend range from MPO boundaries to bridges, and they are primarily used for viewing purposes. There is no limit to the number of layering options you can place on top of each other; just be aware that excessive layering may make reading the map harder for users. The user can opt to uncheck a layer at any point in their viewing and editing process.

Collapsing the Legend

If a user prefers to not use the legend items or wishes to merely take them out of view, they can click the caret () located on the right side of the legend box. If the user hovers the mouse over the caret, the "Collapse Legend" message will be displayed. Once clicked, only the caret will be visible on the map (). The user can click this icon again at any point to reopen the legend.
